Frequently Asked Questions

Roll the Seas is a hosted tabletop gaming cruise bringing gamers together at sea for dedicated play space, organized gaming, community events, and plenty of time to enjoy everything the ship has to offer.
-
Not at all. There’s no cost to join and no obligation to book. The Interest List helps us understand who may be interested in sailing, what types of staterooms guests are looking for, and most importantly, what everyone wants to play. That helps us plan for the group, connect people with similar gaming interests, and make sure there are opportunities for everyone to find people to play with. You’ll also receive updates as sailing details, pricing, and booking information become available.
-
That depends on what everyone brings! Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite board games, RPGs, card games, miniatures, puzzles, and other tabletop games to share and play with the group. It’s a chance to introduce others to games you love, discover new favorites, and find plenty of people ready to play.
-
We're targeting Spring 2027. The exact sailing dates and itinerary will be announced once they're finalized.
-
Pricing has not been finalized yet. We’re working to secure the best available group pricing, and a larger group may help us access better rates and/or additional group benefits. Cabin options, deposits, and final booking details will be shared before reservations open.
-
Your cruise fare will include your Royal Caribbean accommodations, included dining and entertainment, plus access to Roll the Seas group gaming space, activities, and events. Guests will also be encouraged to bring games to share and play with the group.
As our group grows, we may also be able to offer additional group benefits or amenities. Those can vary based on the final sailing and number of cabins booked, so we'll announce any extras once they're confirmed.
-
Roll the Seas welcomes gamers of all ages, but Royal Caribbean has age requirements for stateroom bookings. For cruises departing from North America, at least one guest in a stateroom generally must be 21 or older. There are exceptions for children sailing with a parent or legal guardian in connecting, adjacent, or directly-across-the-hall staterooms, as well as certain other circumstances. A guest's age is based on their age on the first day of the sailing.
-
Yes! Roll the Seas will have a dedicated gaming room where you can drop in, bring your own games, find other players, and play throughout the cruise. Think of it as our home base for tabletop gaming at sea! You’re welcome to use the space for free play whenever it’s available. We may also offer optional organized games or activities, but the focus is on giving everyone a space to play, share games, and enjoy the group at their own pace.
-
Not at all! One of the best things about the tabletop community is its tradition of welcoming new players and sharing the games they love. Roll the Seas is for longtime tabletop gamers, casual players, complete beginners, and the people who just happen to be cruising with them. Teaching and learning games together is part of the fun, so you can bring something you already love, discover something new, or jump in and learn as you go. And if someone in your group has no interest in gaming, that’s perfectly fine too. They’re always welcome to join us if curiosity gets the better of them. Who knows? They may head home with a new favorite hobby. 😎
